Each lesson is conducted one-on-one and carefully tailored to your child’s individual level, needs, and goals. Drawing on over 10 years of experience in teaching writing, I use engaging and personalized approaches to help each student enjoy learning Japanese through self-expression, composition, and kanji study. Students develop the ability to express themselves clearly and confidently in Japanese.

In online lesson, students work on writing exercises tailored to their level (using a structured three-step composition method), practice kanji through an engaging reading-aloud approach, and receive guidance to improve their overall Japanese skills. The focus is not only on accuracy, but also on helping students enjoy expressing their own ideas in Japanese.

Drawing on my long-term research and experience in journalism, we incorporate journaling into our program. For families who wish, we also offer parent-child shared journaling worksheets, as well as a monthly handwritten letter exchange with the instructor.

Journaling has been widely recognized for its positive impact. It not only helps improve children’s thinking and expressive abilities, but also supports emotional stability and encourages a deeper sense of self-understanding in daily life.

• want to maintain their Japanese while living abroad

• need support with writing and kanji

• want to build confidence in expressing themselves in Japanese

After each lesson, students receive personalized feedback on their written work. 

In addition, parents receive a monthly progress report summarizing their child’s development and areas for improvement.

Each monthly cycle consists of three weeks of classes followed by one rest week. This “quiet” period helps the brain organize and consolidate learning, supporting stronger retention and more effective language output.​

Lesson Plans

・All lessons are personalized and conducted one-on-one.We provide feedback after each lesson, as well as a monthly progress report for parents.

・In our offline learning component, families who wish to participate can use shared parent-child journaling worksheets, as well as take part in a monthly handwritten letter exchange with teacher.

・At Japanese Writing Place, learners have opportunities to connect with both Japanese learners from around the world and children living in Japan.

Once a month, participants can join in the creation of a collaborative web magazine.

In addition, those who wish can join a monthly online session held once a month on Saturday (Sunday morning Japan time) to communicate with other participants in real time.​

Japanese Writing Specialist | Nationally Certified Japanese Language Teacher​

Children are supported in expressing themselves confidently in Japanese through writing.

Having loved writing since childhood, I bring over 20 years of experience as a high school baseball journalist, contributing to more than 15 publications. I specialize in writing instruction based on self-expression and journaling.

Since 2016, I have been running a writing program for elementary school students in Japan, with a strong focus on helping children discover the joy of writing. I also run a Japanese writing school for learners around the world, supporting their skill development through self-expression.
