My Japanese Story

Write your life. In your own words. In Japanese.

Your life is full of stories worth remembering.
Through 5 or 10 private online sessions with Myu, reflect on meaningful questions, write about your memories and experiences in Japanese, and create your own personal story collection.

What is My Japanese Story?

My Japanese Story is a private Japanese writing program where you explore your own life through conversation and writing.

In each 45-minute session, Myu will ask you one meaningful question about your life — your memories, people, places, choices, dreams, or experiences.

First, we talk. Then you write.

Little by little, your answers become a collection of stories about your life — written in Japanese, in your own words.

You are not writing “perfect Japanese.” You are writing your story.

How It Works

1. Talk

Explore one theme with Myu

We begin with a 45-minute private online conversation. Myu asks questions and helps you find what you want to say.

2. Write

Turn the conversation into your story

After the session, write your story in Japanese using your own words and expressions.

3. Refine

Receive personal feedback

Myu helps you make your Japanese clearer, more natural, and more expressive while keeping your voice.

4. Learn

Discover useful Japanese expressions

Learn expressions that are connected to your own story, so they are easier to remember and use.

5. Collect

Build your own Japanese life story

After 5 or 10 sessions, you will have a personal collection of stories that reflects your life.

What might you write about?

Your Story May Begin With Questions Like…

  • What place from your childhood do you still remember?

  • Who has influenced the person you are today?

  • What was a turning point in your life?

  • What is something you once dreamed of?

  • What experience changed the way you see the world?

  • What do you value most now?

  • What would you like to tell your younger self?

  • What kind of life would you like to create from here?

The questions are adapted to your life, interests, and Japanese level.

Who is this for?

My Japanese Story might be for you if…

  • You want to express more than textbook answers in Japanese.

  • You enjoy writing, journaling, or reflecting on your life.

  • You want to learn Japanese through your own memories and experiences.

  • You want personal support from Myu.

  • You would like to create something meaningful that remains after the lessons end.

  • You want to tell your story in Japanese — even if your Japanese is not perfect.

Why write your own story in Japanese?

Learning another language can give us a new way to look at our own lives.

When you write about your memories, relationships, choices, and dreams in Japanese, you are not only practicing a language.

You are discovering how to express who you are.

Your Japanese becomes connected to something real — your own life.

Your Japanese. Your memories. Your story.

About Myu

For more than 20 years, I have worked with words and people’s stories as a writer, editor, and educator.

In My Japanese Story, I use both my experience as a writer and my work as a Japanese teacher to help you find, shape, and express your own story in Japanese.

Your story doesn’t have to be extraordinary.

It only has to be yours.
